Hole 1
Pro Tip
Tough starting hole. Place your tee shot left center of fairway for the best approach to a medium size green. Be careful on this hole. Water comes in to play 100 yards from the green on the right side and the water wraps around the green. Open with a good par here. |
| |
 |
Hole 2
Pro Tip
A great par 3 with water left of the green and a bunker guarding the left front of this sloped green. You will want to stay below the hole on this one. Good luck! |
| |
 |
Hole 3
Pro Tip
The first of our “new holes”. A short dogleg right. Place your drive far enough down the left side of the fairway to give yourself a chance at birdie. This big flat green gives up many long putts. Accuracy is premium here. |
| |
 |
Hole 4
Pro Tip
A slight dogleg left with the Chippewa river running down the entire length of this hole. A drive on the right side of the fairway will give you a shot at the green – but the fun only has begun. This green is severely sloped from left to right. Stay below the hole for a chance at par. |
| |
 |
Hole 5
Pro Tip
Our hardest handicapped hole. Tree lined fairway will prevent mortal people from trying to cut distance off the tee shot on this dogleg right par 4. Aim for the middle of the fairway. The approach shot will also require accuracy to this large green that slopes from back to front. |
| |
 |
Hole 6
Pro Tip
Hit the ball straight on this hole. The Chippewa river runs down the entire right side of the fairway. Not much room for error here. Water also protects the green of this hole. This is a great 300 yard par 4. |
| |
 |
Hole 7
Pro Tip
Now you can breath for a few holes. #7 is a good dogleg left par 5. Be careful of the water down the entire right side of this hole. Birdie might be just what the doctor ordered here if you can stay in the fairway. |
| |
 |
Hole 8
Pro Tip
Uphill par 3 well guarded by three bunkers. Hitting this large green will give you a good chance for a par. |
| |
 |
Hole 9
Pro Tip
A great par 5. 400 yards of straight golf and then finish the last 100 yards with a sharp dogleg right. Risk – ob entire right side, reward – reachable hole if you can cut some distance off thru the dogleg. This small green is protected by two bunkers – one on each side of the green. |
| |
 |
Hole 10
Pro Tip
Begin the “in” holes with a good par 5. this hole looks open from the tee, but be careful of the right side, out of bounds follows the entire right side of the hole. Bunkers guard the right side of this flat green. |
| |
 |
Hole 11
Pro Tip
Risk reward at it’s finest. This is a great short par 4. If you need to make up some ground, let loose on a driver. Out of bounds right comes into play. Good luck hitting the smallest green on the course that is well protected by a deep bunker on each side. |
| |
 |
Hole 12
Pro Tip
Arguably the signature hole at BGC. The teeing ground is a postcard with fountains and landscape that is very pleasing to the eye. Hit you tee shot straight as trees line each side of the fairway. You approach shot will need to stray from the three large bunkers that guard this kidney shaped green. Once you get to the green I hope you stayed below the hole as many a ball has found the fringe after a putt on this sloped green. |
| |
 |
Hole 13
Pro Tip
The first thing you will see as you stand on the tee box of this par 3 is the enormous bunker that protects the entire front of the green. Select enough club, the green is deep. Any ball that finds this green will give you a chance for a birdie. |
| |
 |
Hole 14
Pro Tip
Another great short par 4 dog leg right. The safe shot is a tee ball that travels straight for 180 – 200 yards leaving you only 120 yards to a large green. For the risk takers try to carve your shot around the trees to give yourself a chance at eagle. |
| |
 |
Hole 15
Pro Tip
Each shot is going to be a challenge on #15. Tee off from a chute of trees to a fairway that goes away from you. Find the fairway and go for the green. Miss the fairway you may want to lay up or risk finding a watery grave in the Chippewa River that all balls must carry to find the green. |
| |
 |
Hole 16
Pro Tip
A short par 5 that has trouble from tee to green. The first challenge is to hit a straight tee bal over the Chippewa River. You next shots will require accuracy trough the trees. Do not miss your approach shot to the green long or you will need to drop from the water hazard. Par is a good score here but birdie is never out of the question. |
| |
 |
Hole 17
Pro Tip
A double tier green, surrounded by water is the challenge for this 130 yard par three. Short, but I would take a 3 and walk to # 18 happy. |
| |
 |
Hole 18
Pro Tip
A good test to finish your day. Hit your tee shot straight or take your chances with the Willow and large Elm trees that line the fairway. Your approach shot must miss the four bunkers that protect this round green that slopes from back to front. |
